Recently came across an international exhibition in London. A Japanese Architect Sou Fujimoto and Tin Drum created undulating virtual installation in London at London Design Festival.
This installation sparked an idea and the strong feeling that 'Medusa is extremely extremely overrated!'..... ugh!
We, in India, are so blessed with enormous epics richly flavoured with fantastic characters. The Indian civilization being one of the oldest in the world, there is no dearth of mythological beings. Ancient Indian epics mention various such characters, most of which are associated with one or more Yug.
I would like to compile these characters along with:
- tales that make them special
- their modern interpretations
- their creative explorations
- the psychoanalysis and why they are still relevant
and yes, how we designers can integrate them, popularise them and put them forth on the global platform.
Do watch this space and do contribute!
We would like to collaborate (if the wavelengths match, off-course! :)
